| The Wentworth Foundation, Inc. was established in 1998 to provide long-term financial stability and capital improvements for the Academy. Under the leadership of foundation president John Fotenos ’67; the Foundation enables alumni to provide endowed scholarships for deserving cadets, secure exceptional faculty through endowed chairs, assist the growth of the Academy through capital improvement, and funding for athletics and special programs such as the Band and the Honor Guard.
While its sole mission is to support the Academy the Foundation is a separate not for profit corporation managed by a dedicated group of Old Boys who are intent on providing proper stewardship and accountability for the funds entrusted to their care.
About Including Wentworth in Your Estate & Gift Planning
Throughout the years, many of our Alumni and Friends have chosen to include Wentworth in their estate plans and bequests. The Wentworth Foundation is pleased to launch this new Web site to enable you to explore and develop your philanthropic plan which will:
- provide for your loved ones,
- plan for your retirement by receiving lifetime income,
- avoid capital-gain tax, reduce or eliminate estate taxes, and
- make a very positive impact on the future of Wentworth.
We look forward to serving you with this expanded on line service! We are ready to work with you and your advisors, in confidence and without obligation, to determine the best possible plan of giving to ensure your desired results. If you have already included Wentworth in your estate plans, are planning to make a bequest, or if you would like more information please contact Kent McElroy in the Alumni House at the contact information located below.
