Boarding High School Financing Options

Boarding High School Scholarships

  • Our scholarship program, based on the demonstrated financial need of the applicant, rewards academic success, merit achievement, or a combination of both.  To qualify, applicants must first be accepted for admission to the Academy, and second, must submit a Parent Financial Statement (PFS) with School and Student Services for Financial Aid. Please use school code #3930.  Please read more about our scholarship program HERE.

  • Please also complete the Academy Scholarship Application and submit to the Office of Admissions.

College Student Financial Aid

Yes, you qualify!  There is aid available regardless of income or credit history.  All you need to do is complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to determine what type(s) of aid you are qualified to receive.  Once you know what is available, you may choose the type(s) of aid that best fit your circumstances.

The Financial Aid Office assists students and their families in planning for the cost of attending Wentworth Junior College.  Wentworth Junior College awards and/or administers three (3) general types of financial assistance:

     1.  Federal and State Grants
     2.  Scholarships
     3.  Loans

Since grants and scholarships are gifts, they usually do not have to repaid. Loans must be repaid with interest at a future date, which usually commences six months after the student ceases to be less than a halftime student.

Financial aid policies and procedures may change at any time to assure compliance with federal regulations and institutional policies. To determine eligibility for financial assistance, a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) must be completed. Other documentation may also be required to be furnished to the financial aid office in determining this eligibility. For more detailed information on financial aid, contact the Financial Aid Office at 660-259-2221. You can fill out the FAFSA form online, by visiting their site at www.fafsa.ed.gov.  Wentworth’s Federal School Code (needed when completing the FAFSA, Step Six) is 002522.
